Crush Dynamics raises $3.6M in Seed 2 Funding
Sustainable Recovery of Agricultural Waste to Benefit Alternative Protein Companies
[April 25, 2022 – Summerland, Canada] – Crush Dynamics Inc. (CrushDynamics), a leader in upcycling agricultural side streams into healthy, nutritional food ingredients, has raised $3.6 million in Seed 2 financing.
Crush Dynamics welcomed funding from a host of new investors including Western Universities Technology Innovation Fund (WUTIF), Women’s Equity Lab (WEL), Lumia Capital, and the AgFood Opportunities Fund based in Melbourne Australia, joined by existing investor Turnham Green Capital.
Through natural, proprietary fermentation technology, Crush Dynamics produces high-performance food ingredients rich in polyphenolic substances including flavonoids, such as quercetin, and non-flavonoids.
Crush Dynamics has developed an innovative list of ingredients that enhance plant-based protein formulations. Benefits from these ingredients include a reduction in sodium by as much as 80% and extended shelf-life by up to 60%, all while improving taste and texture.
