Crush Dynamics is helping lead the upcycled food movement with the industry’s first Ruby and Gold Purée product to be Upcycled Certified™ by the Upcycled Food Association, a non-profit focused on preventing food waste by accelerating the upcycled economy.
Processing of grapes is one of the largest agricultural food waste streams on the planet. On an annualized global basis, 15 million tonnes of grape derivatives are produced from wine production. Much of this material is discarded of in landfills leading to approximately 50 million tonnes of C02 equivalent emissions.
At Crush Dynamics, we are on a global mission to transform grape derivatives and other agricultural side streams to significantly reduce this negative environmental impact. Through the use of our patented fermentation process, we’re able to upcycle these side streams into high-performance ingredients. Due to a unique composition of bio-transformed polyphenols, the finished product delivers deep sodium and sugar reduction, shelf-life extension, and bitter elimination in many food and beverage applications.
